The art awards scheme for offenders, secure patients and detainees

We’re the UK’s best-known prison arts charity. We’ve been awarding, exhibiting and selling artworks by offenders, detainees and secure patients for over 55 years.

Our awards receive over 8,000 entries a year – inspiring offenders to take part in the arts, work for achievement and transform their lives. Our national exhibition attracts 20,000 visitors – showing the public the talent and potential of offenders and people in secure settings.

We have no endowment or capital – our work depends entirely on donations.

Ben Howard in concert for Koestler Trust

Birmingham Symphony Hall, 21 January 2019

Ben Howard has announced that he will be supporting the Koestler Trust by donating the profits of a special and intimate concert taking place on 21 January 2019.

The concert will be the last UK date of his Noonday Dream Tour. Released in June this year to critical acclaim, Howard’s third full-length project Noonday Dream was produced by Howard himself and recorded in several studios between south west France and south west England.

The perfect setting for Howard’s distinct vocals, poetic lyricism, and his 9-piece orchestral band, and the most intimate venue of his UK tour, the beautiful Symphony Hall in Birmingham is widely considered one of the finest Concert Halls in the world. Home to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, it also hosts the best in jazz, world music, folk, rock, pop and stand-up comedy.

Tickets go on sale Friday 2 November at 9am, > here.
