Exhibits.
Our 2008 exhibition marked the start of a
3-year partnership with Southbank Centre, one of the world's most
prestigious arts venues, overlooking the Thames in central London.
We look forward to being there again in autumn 2009 and 2010.
The show was curated by young offenders from the local borough of
Lambeth. Click here for more details of this ground-breaking
young curators project.
Nearly 10,000 people visited the exhibition. Click here for a
selection of the visitors'
comments.
For the first time in the 47-year history of the Koestler
Exhibition, we invited visitors to vote for their favourite work,
and gave additional Koestler Awards to the winners, which you can see on the right of this page.
We held a series of events at the exhibition, including a reading
of Koestler Award-winning creative writing, and a very
well-attended seminar for prison art tutors. We are repeating
and expanding these events in 2009.
